2001  Jacque Jones, Tori Hunter, and Carey Koskie each hit a pair of HRs for Minnesota – tie MLB record
1997  Roger Clemens makes his first appearance at Fenway as a Blue Jay – strikes out 16 Red Sox batters in a win
1996  Kirby Puckett announces his retirement immediately due to glaucoma
1994  Houston Pitcher John Hudek appears in the All-Star game – 1st pitcher in MLB history to be in an All-Star game without having a career win
1990  White Sox pitcher Melido Perez pitches a rain shortened 6 inning no hitter – the 7th of the season – most since 1917
