1997  Ken Griffey Jr. hits his 13th HR of the month – MLB record
1995  The 257 game MLB strike comes to an end as first games are played
1993  Michael Jordan wins NBA scoring title for 7th straight year – ties Wilt Chamberlain’s record
1993  The Cleveland Cavaliers end the season with league in FG % (.497), FT % (.802), and 3 point FG % (.381) – 1st NBA team to do so
1993  Michael Williams of Minnesota ends the season with NBA record 84 consecutive free throws made – will end with 97 when he plays next year
