1995  Dick Motta became 3rd NBA coach to win 900 games
1982  Arthur Ehrat receives a patent – the breakaway goal used in basketball games
1954  Overbrook High School loses 59-58 to Farrell High School – only loss in 1953-54 and 1954-55 seasons for the Wilt Chamberlain led team
1958  The Colts beat the Giants 23-17 in what many call the greatest NFL game – Johnny Unitas threw for 349 yards
