1981  Fernando Valenzuela of Dodgers is NL Rookie of the Year – 13-7, 2.48 ERA, 11 complete games, 8 shutouts, 180 strikeouts
1962  In the AFL, Houston beats Denver 34-17 – Denver QBs threw 8 interceptions and had a total of 9 turnovers, George Blanda of Houston managed to throw 5 interceptions himself, but also threw 3 TDs
